I call this my first woodworking project. I refinished my basement with the intent of using it as a shop. But is was finished to the point where if I ever move, it can be easily converted into a finished basement room.

I couldn't figure out what to do with my steps until someone said if I was going to do woodworking, might as well do it all in wood!

very cool - but you're a nut :) what is that walnut and maple ?

Yup . . . I'm a nut . . . just ask my wife. And yes, those are walnut treads and maple risers. The risers are just 1/4" maple ply.
