He said something along the lines that he was wanting to replace his chisel rack for while, and felt that the one in the magazine was a good fit.  Then he dogeared a page in the magazine and said he would get to it sometime soon .

Looked through 223 - no chisel rack.  They have an online extra for the tool cabinet that is a chisel rack, but don't think that's the one I was looking for.

    Chisel rack?
I have been looking through previous versions of FWW to find a chisel rack that Marc mentioned in a video a while back (think it was a live session, or maybe a guild meeting).  Marc specifically dog eared the magazine to come back to the article.
On the off chance, does anyone know which video or magazine it's in?

the dril press I just finished "tuning" is still 5 or 6 thou out.  This is acceptable and will not effect my woodworking at all.  It's easy to get caught up in caliper readings and such, trying to chase down the last few thousandths of an inch.  Look at your results and if the boards come out flat and  square, then your machine is working properly and doing its job well.
while everyone likes a perfect 0000 reading, we are not NASA and our requirements for excellent woodworking need not be so stringent.

I have the 500 and love it.  If I need more strength, I often just double (or triple) up the dominos.  I know Steve makes his own custom dominoes as well for special occasions.

That is a dovetail way jointer, and yes you will need to shim if you want to adjust.  Grizzly has a good video on how to level a DW jointer.

Hey, wondering where you've been - welcome back!
  9. franklin pug added a post in a topic So Where does the Lawnmower Go???

I built a small shed and keep all my garden gear in there.  Only woodworking related materials make it into the shop.

I bought a bag from lee valley one time, they were great. Only complaint is that some rags were really large.

Well I got my new belts today from the bearing shop (5 bucks each). I installed them when I got back, and HOLY MOSES what a difference! The machine runs very smooth now with almost no motor vibration.
  13. franklin pug added a post in a topic Any powermatic 6" jointer owners?

I would most likely be getting the 6" model, but a video demo would be great! I may be in Ottawa soon (kanada). I see you are in the Montreal area (not sure if you are in the actual city or just approximating your location) - anywhere close to the provincial border?
