Hanging Winerack

This is an initial drawing and I'm not sure if the dimensions are accurate. I saw a picture of this type of winerack and this is my first attempt at using SketchUp. I think a French cleat would be best to hang it or some other "invisible" method. I plan on updating the drawing as I make dimension adjustments and add more views, etc . . .

Torch Holder

A friend of mine is building a new deck and he came to me asking if I knew of a bracket to hold tiki torches to the railing. I came up with this simple idea to be made from cedar to match his deck. The grain of the wood in the top & bottom rings will be perpendicular to the center ring for strength. I'll fit a hose clamp inside with the adjustment nut to the back so that it can be tightened around the post from the torch. I'll probably paint the hose clamp black so that it's not as obvious.

Now just to show him the .jpg and see if he likes it. Might also design a longer version with two rings. Idea right now is to use one of these high and one low.

Knockdown Hardware Bottom

There was a forum request regarding the Benchcrafted Crisscross installation. The request was to have the knockdown hardware come in from the bottom to avoid using the wider front rail. This sketchup file lays out that bottom entry.

Garden Planters Imperial and Metric

This is my own design for hardwood framed planters with external ply panels. The structure on mine have been clad with Western Red Cedar.
The base boards are treated softwood. All fasteners and brads are stainless steel.
Finish the frame and ply panels with suitable weatherproof external finish. No finish is necessary on the cedar cladding and it will silver over time.
This imperial model is in inches to 1/16" precision.
The metric model is in millimetres to 1mm precision.

French Style Bench

Hi All,

This is my first sketch up drawing. I am sure you are all sick of French workbenches? Anyway, I would like your feedback. I have a lot to learn on sketchup but it's really good fun to use. Saves on paper and erasers! Back to the drawing have I missed something, can you recommend any additions? I will also be putting together some component drawing and I am happy to share if you want? I am basing the build on PSE European Redwood so it will be easy to make with timber common to the UK.
