But still had fun! I had a few days to kill and a couple nice figured maple boards laying around, so I thought I'd catch up on one of the Guild builds.

I joined the guild, not too long ago, with the main purpose to see the videos to build this table. This is my first furniture project ever. Wood is quartersawn white oak, drawer dovetails are my first attempt ever at hand cut dovetails. The videos from the guild were so much help for me to complete this project, thanks Mark!

I'm building mt third one, this one in oak, for my Daughter's bedroom set. First one was expanded into a desk, second one became a TV stand ....

And the techniques transfer so well to other designs, like a cedar outdoor end table I built.

Hope the next build is so versatile.

Here's my table. Ash base with walnut top. Finish is wipe on poly, but only a couple of coats as I wanted to keep it simple and natural looking.

Your Shaker Table series has certainly paid off for me! Desk top is done , leg assemblies are complete ... Working on the drawer now ... But I have to travel this week .... So a week of downtime:0(

Build time question

For those of you that have built this table, what is the rough build time? The reason I ask, is that my wife seems to think they would make nice holiday gifts. So far she has 10 on her list.

So, do you think these could be mass produced?

I am thinking about maple top with everything below that painted. Well except for the drawer box itself. Might even pocket screw the aprons and legs.

Looking for ideas if you have them. I am pretty sure that 10 will change before holiday season gets here.

Since I joined the guild I figured I would grab the plans from some previous builds that I thought I could do once I get going. Tried to get the plans from the shaker table and it tells me it's not there or something. Needless to say it won't let me get the plans. Are these something I need to buy or how does it work?
