ColinF
I've been looking for a nice woodworking forum to hang around in. My father taught me the tricks of the hobby (addiction) when I was a kid, he used to make buggies and small stuff to go with teddy bears my mom made and sold at craft shows, the scroll saw was my first to learn on, then shop class introduced me to the bandsaw, and once we finally got a good shop teacher, he taught us how to turn a bowl, and many other skills, he even helped me make a solid cherry curio cabinet with raised panel doors. My father passed away last year and left me his shop and tools so I've been in the process of getting things setup in an orderly fashion, and finishing some projects dad started for mom. Southwood
Welcome neighbor. I was just up in your area the other week. I was visiting a DOC facility. Can't wait to see some of your projects.

ColinF
Thanks guys, looking to start a toy skid loader this weekend for my soon to be born son! I'm planning to make the whole series from wood magazine for him, I just need to find a good hardwood dealer!

Tpt life
Eizzle, don't know about your area but up here the small project suppliers are country Amish mills. Goshen and Clinton are a fair drive for you unless you have reason to do business up here anyway.
ColinF
I don't get out that way much, my cousin has a small 2 man operation, but he doesn't have any walnut, and he doesn't have anything that's dried yet.
