These are some of my favorite, as my son went to work, all on his own, to add the little bells. This year I used mostly small scraps of various exotics. Stuff too expensive and difficult for me to use on larger projects, but great for things like this. Yellowheart, Redheart, Canary wood, Paela. I didn't have a specific plan in mind for the strips of wood and just kind of let the chips fall where they would, but going forward, I think I could reproduce the Rudolph one on the right without too much planning.
