Nick Gibbs
How do I put a signature on the end of my posts? The tab doesn't seem to be there on the My Settings page? And how do I put a Twitter feed under my photo? Thanks Nick
Beechwood Chip
Click on "My Profile" instead of "My Settings". Then click the "Edit my Profile" button.
Nick Gibbs
Thanks. I was confused by the Help page which seems to direct one to My Settings, and by my own stupidity. Many thanks. Nick
wdwerker
How do I make the web address in my signature into a clickable link? I poked around in the edit profile but didn't see a way to do it.
DaveT
Go into 'Edit My Profile' and in the left column is an entry 'Signature'. That should open up a window very much like making a post. Use the same icon as you would when putting a link in a post (the one that looks like a bit of chain). If this doesn't help I'll try doing some screen grabs for you. Tpt life
Hey Steve, played around a bit. The link I tried to add was dead until I copied from my browsers URL bar. The only difference initially was a start from "http" instead of from "www". The image shows that when I saved changes the code was automatically converted to a hot link with the extra coding needed. This is the first I have tried this so this is a test post as much as anything.
Tpt life
I think if I read the coding right in the image I posted that the link comes first, then comes the text for the link, then the close of the link. One more test on its way. Here you can compare the two images and see where I edited the text.
DaveT
You hit the nail on the head Master Shaffer The screenshots you posted are different to the ones I get. I have a toolbar above the text entry area but I'm on a laptop whereas you (I believe) are on a mobile.
Tpt life
Yessir! I am on my mobile and in fact need to access the "full version" to even see the signatures. I did not even realize you had a signature until this morning Steve. Carus
wdwerker
That did it ! Thanks ! I am pretty good at woodwork but computer stuff still doesn't come easily to me. We have the updates to my website almost ready to post. My web mistress just has some SEO and registration stuff to complete.
dlgWoodWork
Do I have to wait a certain time before I can add a signature? When I go to "edit my profile", there is no signature tab on the left.
Beechwood Chip
Try go clicking on your handle at the top right (next to the sign out link), then click on "My Settings". When I do that I see a "Signature" choice on the left.
dlgWoodWork
Thanks Beechwood. I see it now. I think it may be delayed when you first sign up, because I couldn't see it earlier. I just joined today.
