tim0625
A crosscut sled is a nice addition to the miter gauge no matter how nice. I use mine all the time especially when I need repetitive cuts are needed. No matter what miter gauge you buy...build yourself a nice sled. Dnorris1369
ok well it looks like incra has a miter express on amazon and they call it a sled so is this a crosscut sled?? sorry guys im just a little confused just trying to decide the right route to go
Tpt life
4 minutes in. It is a very fancy "sled based" miter gauge. Benefits of the sled design can be had to a degree. A lot of guys like sleds for zero prep 90° crosscuts that are zero clearance supported. They are also commonly built with opposing 45° fences for mitering. The benefit of a miter gauge is crosscuts at less common angles. Each has a purpose and some shops routinely use all styles.

I don't have this one but I have a lot of Incra and I'm a huge fan.
Eric.
I'm also an Incra fan, and the Miter Express is a neat tool...but I wouldn't waste my money on it. Buy a good miter gauge and build yourself a crosscut sled. It's a shop essential, and making it is a good skill-builder.
Llama
Well, finally got some shop time today. Have my Incra 1000HD pretty close to being setup. Just some minor tweaking and familiarizing.

Jerry_in_SD
Yeah I'm in the same boat. Mine gets most of its using when I'm cutting tenons on the TS. And now that I think about it, that's about it. Same with me. Sled is my go to now.
