silicon_dt
Hey all I plan to strip poly off and sand down a kitchen table to bare wood. It is oak. I would like to dye the table using GF dye. Is the only surface prep I need to do is sand to 220 and wet it using water. Then sand using 400 or something to get rid of grain rise. Then spray the table with a mist to even the dye out a little to prevent uneveness. --Daniel
wtnhighlander
400 is a bit high for smoothing the raised grain. Oak I have worked with gets silky smooth at just 180.Sent from my XT1058 using Tapatalk
AceHoleInOne
So your only going to use the GF dye stain and nothing else? No stain over the dye? -Ace-
