Guest
Agreed, nothing wrong with a jig. This is what I hear when people start showing off their hand cut dovetails.

..Kev
Time from some drawer fronts. I was able to get all the drawer fronts out of 1 board so, that made the grain matching a lot easier! Used the domino for alignment and got the panels glued up. Each panel is both drawers of one nightstand.

..Kev
Been giving the tops some thought. Originally, I was thinking of breadboard ends which would look good. Then, someone suggested a taper which caused me to consider it. Both would look good, any suggestions from you guys?
Guest
Taper. With fresh designs like yours I think breadboards look out of place.
..Kev
Thanks Woodsap! I'm toying with a variation of that idea.. In the mean time, I'm cutting drawer fronts and getting them ready. Not sure about the handles yet but, here's a rough fit of the drawer fronts.

..Kev
Profiles for the drawer fronts all figured out.. One more set to go but, I think that's it for this weekend.
wdwerker
I think a tapered underside of the top would look good with the flared legs. Should make the whole package very elegant. Love the grain matched drawer fronts, simple and classy. Great piece of wood you got them out of.
