TerryMcK
I've just been Googling for something Stanley related and came across this site http://www.hyperkitten.com/tools/stanley_bench_plane/dating_flowchart.php - I haven't seen it before despite it making use of the Blood and Gore website. If you have an old Stanley #4 and were wondering how old it is give it a go. Not sure how accurate it is but let us know your results.
Eric.
Damn homonyms. I thought this was going to be a much more interesting and confusing thread. Wondered at first how you "date" a website...then I realized I spend so much time here that maybe it qualifies. Internet addictions...not good.
TerryMcK
Good point Eric. I've renamed the thread to avoid confusion
Andrew Pritchard
That's awesome. Dates my "new" plane at mid-30s I think. Would be nice if they had some pictures in there to help with those of us who aren't quite up to speed on some of the terminology.
