These are less than half the price of Bessey or Jets but I'm somewhat skeptical of their quality. The reviews on Rocker's site seem pretty good. Anyone have experience with these? Cochese Posted April 25, 2014 Report Share Posted April 25, 2014 I have a couple of the 24" and they aren't my favorite. Smashed my hands a couple of times because they don't stay put. wdwerker Posted April 26, 2014 Report Share Posted April 26, 2014 Irwin used to be made in America. Then they got bought by Newell/Rubbermaid that is based in the Atlanta suburbs (to my regret). They moved production overseas and the quality suffered. My oldest Quick Grip clamps are still going strong, but my newest ones don't have the same clamping pressure. Same thing with my bessey k bodies. That is why I only hold them from the screw handle when transporting, not the bar, not the fixed jaw, not between the jaws.
