The link for the picture you posted showed the beautiful wood that has paint for accents. That work is beautiful. What I was speaking about was how some people build something out of wood - walnut...mahogany...then sand it to a smooth appearance and then cover it with paint!! I've seen people build kitchen cabinets out of walnut and say that's nice, how would this color paint look? That's what I'm talking about. No...I love to use paint as accents on beautiful grained woods and even the turquoise inlays and things like that. You and I were on different wavelengths. Heavydc2 Posted August 11, 2014 Author Report Share Posted August 11, 2014 So I made something between a business card holder and a cell phone stand with the first one: I milled the brass base and drilled holes to correspond with the pins. The second one is going to be a clock. This is what I have so far I am trying to decide what to do for a base if anything at all. And what to do for a numbers if any. I may laser engrave the numbers.
