knotscott
Does it have a motor?
woodbutcher74
I've got a old 1960's Craftsman tablesaw. Works well, needs a new pulley. Show up and I will help you load it up. No charge.
JustinScottDeVico
Wood butcher, live in north east vt?
woodbutcher74
Well it was worth a try. The saw belonged to my Grandfather and I can't bring myself to scrap it. Just don't have room to store it anymore. It's a nice drive to Illinois. Anybody need a saw?
arcwick08
Grab one of the ~$100 contractor saws from Lowes or Depot.
Dave's Not Here
Many of the benchtop table saws are limited in the width size of dado they can do. I use to have a Skil benchtop that had a maximum of ½" capacity for dados. Make sure that whatever you buy has the capacity to do what you want it to do. knotscott
http://burlington.craigslist.org/atq/4551644767.html...... any reason why I should go with a different setup. It's worth a second mention. This saw looks like like a belt drive saw that doesn't have a motor to me....I could be wrong, but it's definitely something I'd check into before buying it thinking it has a motor. tim0625
From what I've seen, older saws like that are low on horsepower so spinning a dado stack may be hard. Its heavy and sturdy but I'd go to a box store and get a basic saw or watch Craig's list for a $100 saw. They're everywhere. I got this table saw on sale a few years ago at Christmas for $79. Byrdie
Do not try to mount a dado on one of those $100 saws. The arbor is not long enough to mount a dado stack.
