soko121
My wife has spent weeks painstakingly stripping our Butler Pantry to refinish it. the stain is Minwax Dark Walnut #2716 liquid stain. My question is, what is the best product to "protect" this finish, ie wax, oil, etc 2 products we need to know about, are Liberon finishing oil and Kramer's Antique Improver. Can either of these be used over the Minwax, and should anything else be put over the top of that ?? thanks
Byrdie
If the plan is to continue using it as a Butler Pantry it may be a place that's going to see a bit of abuse. I'd look for a topcoat that is fairly durable. But that's as far as I can get with my suggestion. Someone else is going to be better at suggesting which one might best fit your application.
