RichardA
Will an older stanley #2 sweetheart blade and chipbreaker, fit in an early #2 stanley plane without any alteration?
Gilgaron
http://www.supertool.com/StanleyBG/stan1.htm#num2 I don't see anything about changes to the width over its life here
TerryMcK
The #2 and #2c both have 1.5/8" irons so my guess is it should fit. Measure it if you have one.

I've got a 2c, that needs a blade and chipbreaker, and I have access to a set, but the blade is a sweetheart, and I just wanted to be certain, before I plop down the cash. Guess I'll have a complete 2c here in a day or two. Thank's guys!
Tpt life
From a fettling perspective, the other issue may be frog position relative to mouth opening if the blades are not the exact same thickness.
