Dave H Posted September 10, 2014 Report Share Posted September 10, 2014 This is my first attempt at building a wooden hand plane it's laminated maple and, walnut the plane mallet is iron wood and, maple every thing is finished with BLO there are iron wood striking points on the back of the plane and, maple wedge. Dave H Posted September 10, 2014 Author Report Share Posted September 10, 2014 I've only taken a few strokes as I just finished the plane before I posted the BLO isn't dry yet I put it together for the pics and, it's apart to dry now. Thanks for the feed back wdwerker and, TOIDS it was a fun project I made it for tool challenge so I have to send it to someone at the end of Sept. so now I'll make me one I'm thinking a jack or a joiner with a Hock blade.
