collinb
#1 is my first piece of cabinetry. Today was my dry hanging just to be certain that it fit and is square. All is well. Took me too many hours to build/rebuild to get right. #2 is a quick & dirty jig for tapering some 2x2s for table legs. It actually worked quite well despite its simplicity. Had the wife guide the legs out the back side while I fed them through. To change my angle I just put a piece in the wedge to make it angle desired. RichardA
Ya done good with the cabinet..... But, that jig scares the hell out of me! There are many easier and safer ways to cut tapers....I'm sure there is information. in the forum's jig's and fixtures that you can find, that are safer and will last much longer. And there won't always be a second set of hands to assist you. Love your fingers!
collinb
I was just trying to get a good job done quickly. Of course taking more time I might have done a better job, but the legs came out with a good smooth cust. Maybe I'll look into making something more functional in the near future. There are lots of plans out there. I just have to take the time.
Janello
Cabinet looks good. FWIW: I never let anybody pull rips through the other side of my TS. I think it's a dangerous practice, even with a splitter. But that's just me.
Tom Crawford
I agree. It is very dangerous.
