RPCV_Woodworker
Hi all, I'm laying out a bedside table, 6" aprons. The drawers 3.5" deep 7.5 wide, about a foot long. My question is, without using mechanical runners, what's the best way for me to seat this drawer? I was thinking of making a partial dustframe and just letting the drawer rest inside the pocket. I've attached a couple of views of what i'm thinking of on sketchup. Still needs some tweaking...
..Kev
A center rail would also work.
wtnhighlander
I did a similar table last year. To prevent the drawer from racking, I made L-shaped runners under the bottom edges of the drawer. they only need to extend a short distance up the drawer side to keep it aligned. woodbutcher74
I've used this stuff. It's from Rockler. You can get it in different thickness. It works pretty well and prevents the wood on wood abrasion. It's called Nylo-Tape Drawer Slide.

I like that idea, thanks!
