Gary Gilbert
Hey,Hey me again Well I went and picked up another CL find this time it's a belt sander I could not pass it up cause of the price.. I noticed the belt keeps sliding off . I took the machine apart to clean it up like I do with all the stuff i buy. Any ideas on how to lift or level the bottom wheel it is tilted down and not level as you can see from the pictures all i see is two bolts on the side. From what i can tell that is used to adjust the tilt of the main body.. Any help would be great Thanks http://s153.photobucket.com/user/bouoy/library/shop%20tools
wdwerker
The quality of the belt and the rubber on the drive drum also affect the tracking. I have cleaned the rubber as well as adjusted the tracking to gets belts to stay on. Nice old sander ! What brand is it? Bearing wear could also be an issue with an old machine. AceHoleInOne
Is the belt new? I would start with a new "quality" belt. Then make your adjustments. -Ace-
collinb
Check for a tension adjustment. My DW433 belts kept sliding off until I found the knob.
