dwacker
Im trying to plan this years IBS trip. This year will be different for me. My better half is scheduled for legal seminars all week and the kids will be in Cabinet related seminars. I usually do these things but this year am just along for the ride and will be the old guy wandering the Vegas strip aimlessly by himself. Don't drink, gamble or party hell can't really stay up past 8pm. For those that are familiar with Vegas what are some good things for an old guy to do while just hanging out for a week besides watching strippers. RichardA
Socalize at every great food joint Vegas has to offer! And there's plenty of them!
Tpt life
Valley of Fire State Park is a yes. The Dam is fun if you have never been. If you get there during Red or Green Flag operations, it can be fun to find a place by Nellis to watch the traffic.
TerryMcK
Go watch a show. Cirque de Soleil are superb.
Coop
If you're an old dude like me and grew up w/ the Beatles, Cirque de Soleil has a great show. And as you probably know, there are no clocks in Vegas, so your bedtime will probably change. If you're into that kind of thing, check out Pawn Stars and maybe shoot a Thompson at one of the gun range. But, I kind of like your first idea of watching strippers for a week
Rapid Roger
Roaming the Strip in Vegas is a lot like walking the isles in Walmart....... You never know what you might see! Even if you don't gamble the insides of some of the big casinos are really something to see. Last time I was there several years ago, "New York New York" really impressed me! I could hardly keep my eyes on my Black Jack hand! Rog
dwacker
Thanks for the ideas. I forgot about Pawn Stars. I can't go far they won't let me rent a car with a Medical restriction on my license. Saw a TV show with the Wynn Casino and it looks like they have a great split crab leg buffet. If all else fails I can gain 20 or so pounds in a week.

The first episode was about a cool act they have at the Wynn.
chefmagnus@grics.net
I haven't been since the fancy foods show in 2012 but the order of buffets that I would go to is this 1 Bacchanal Buffet at Caesar's Place 2 Wynn 3 Belligio 4 Village Seafood at Rio 5 Wicked Spoon at Cosmo I did not like the Cirque de Soleil I fell asleep after about 30 minutes. I would vote for Penn 7 Teller or Blue Man Group. That is my two cents. Use it or you own me change.
