shuflid
What is the best way to clean up a dado in plywood that is just a hair to tight?
Tpt life
Set a rabbet plane to adjust the "tenon"? Sand paper can work too but is a little trickier to keep from sanding too much to where it will show.

Trip
It all comes down to your definition of 'just a hair'... As PB says, it's far easier to thin the panel than widen the dado... Attempting to widen a dado usually leaves you with a bigger problem then what you started with... If the panel is solid stock, the preferred method is to thin it with a smoothing plane, drum sander, etc. If the panel is plywood, we're back to how much is 'just a hair'. If it's a thou or five, then sanding is fine. More than about 15thou, you should be taking stock equally from on both sides. Around 20thou, and it depends on the quality of the plywood how you plan to finish the piece…
shuflid
Sorry I have taken so long to get back to you folks. I ended up sanding just a little and it worked fine. Thanks again for the help.
