Mzdadoc Posted November 12, 2014 Report Share Posted November 12, 2014 I bought a new filter at Woodcraft that said outer filter but it was $19.99. I don't pay that much ever for my furnace filters. Got it home and it's the inner 5 micron filter. I replaced that one and took the outer filter out back and blew it out with my air hose. Jim L. Posted November 13, 2014 Report Share Posted November 13, 2014 I've had a Woodriver air cleaner for about a year now and started off by blowing out the outer filter regularly. It works OK but it seems to degrade the performance- a lot more dust gets through to the inner filter after the outer has been blown out a few times. I have started to just replace it. FYI Grizzly sells the same air cleaner (with green paint). I have had good luck buying the filters from Grizzly instead of Woodcraft- they are about 2/3 the price.
