Tom Crawford
Was picking up some replacement picture frame glass today and while chatting with glass shop owner ( he knows I'm a woodworker) he asked if I would be interested in some beveled edge for a coffee table or something. This is tempered glass, at least 1/8 thick and has polished bevels around the perimeter about 1-1/2 inch back. There are two sizes, 15-1/4 X 12-1/4 and 9-5/8 X 15-1/4 He wants $5 per piece. I anyone is interested I will provide contact info and you can deal directly with him. I think he has about 15-20 pieces of each size.
wtnhighlander
Tempered or not, I'd be afraid to use 1/8" thick glass as a panel in a table. Maybe as a cover piece, where it is fully supported, though. O, I remeber another application where these would work nice: presentation box lids.
