wouldwurker
On my lunch break, I picked up a LN spokeshave at Highland...and I've just been holding it at my desk. Any second now I might start spokeshaving my chair rail. So.... not because they're any better or worse than LV, ....or because of how you feel about their distribution model.... But just because they're so dang shiny and pretty, let's see some LN tool porn! (I'll take a photo when I get home)
Coop
You're liable to not get anything else done for the rest of the day. I won't allow my employees to go to Rockler or Woodcraft at lunch for that very reason

Freddie
Sorry for the old pics. I haven't been in the shop much lately but the collection hasn't changed. My loyalty is to both brands.

Freddie
That's a good looking hammer, Freddie. Love the prop 65 warning... It's a very beautiful hammer that's covered in dust right now. All my stuff is covered in dust, the kind of dust when stuff just sits around.
Gary
OK, I'll play. This picture was taken this spring when the tools were brought out of the house and into the garage. I tend to gravitate to LN, but I buy whatever I think will work the best for me. I think I've added a couple of small items since then, but I can't remember.
TerryMcK
Well back on track with the LN Boggs Spokeshave club of which Vinny and I are confirmed members. Mine is the flat bottomed one. This simply is the best spokeshave I've ever had. The Lee Valley and UK Clifton ones I also have are a joint close second (just a hair away from the Boggs) distantly followed by Stanley spokeshaves of which the modern versions quite frankly are not worth the metal they are cast from nowadays. Eric.
Shameful. Strutting your children around on stage like tortured little pageant kids. No. I won't do it.

wouldwurker
Ohhhh...pretty. I didn't care for the one with the brass handles that they also had. Not as much weight on the ends, and felt a bit stubby. The one I have is Convex by the way. Do you still use the flat SS on curves?
TerryMcK
No I use a curved base Lee Valley one on concave curves. I have the Clifton concave and convex spokeshaves like yours too but haven't had chance to use them yet. They are intended for spindles on chairs and hollows on seats. I had the idea of using the concave one (the one for spindles or cutting corners off square stock) on guitar necks. I've not taken a picture of those but here is the web address http://www.flinn-garlick-saws.co.uk/acatalog/Clifton_Spokeshaves.html
