wtnhighlander
I admit that list was not my entire collection, but I sort of wnadered away from new music by the early '90s. Got old and started listening to woodworking podcasts instead.
wdwerker
Meat Loaf and Blues Traveler can be added to the list. I wonder if Brandy was a fine girl on the first date ?

wdwerker
Ok I will give you the early Kiss stuff but after that ?
wouldwurker
When you're 12 years old, they can do no wrong.
..Kev
A actually like a bunch of Kiss stuff but, if you understand music, it's all poorly played 1,4,5 blues tunes..
wouldwurker
If you listen really really close, they're actually all regurgitated Slade tunes...of course you also have to know Slade
..Kev
AC DC is actually the same way.. That's why they and Kiss didn't end up on my favorites list. There a bunch of other stuff I liked including some stuff from the hated 80s.. I liked some of that cheesey powerchord metal stuff.
wouldwurker
A actually like a bunch of Kiss stuff but, if you understand music, it's all poorly played 1,4,5 blues tunes.. <see Led Zeppelin>. ..Kev
<see Led Zeppelin>. "Does anybody remember laughter?" Page cut his teeth on blues but certainly didn't take Zep there.. Love the reference to Stairway! The never ending debate over which song should be # 1? Stairway to Heaven or Comfortably Numb?
wouldwurker
Not even a contest. PF any day, every day. Live, when I saw that giant disco ball open up during that solo...and a million lights come out of it...my head almost exploded.

TerryMcK
Now we're talking. Glad that the Floyd weren't obscured by the clouds. Anybody got their latest album?
Eric.
I've never seen Van Morrison live and I guess I never will...and that makes me depressed. But then I remember I've never seen KISS live and I DEFINITELY never will and I feel much better! Ugh, the worst. Sorry. Just like every Pandora station eventually ends up at the Beatles, every thread about music always ends up at Zeppelin and Floyd. I stopped paying attention to PF releases once Roger Waters lost interest in the band. Gilmore is a great guitarist, but he can't write a meaningful song to save his life. Pink Floyd without Waters is like The Who without Townshend. Doesn't work. Division Bell is one of the most overrated piles of steaming malarkey in the history of the universe. ..Kev
They were definitely better with Waters! Still one of my favorites of all time!
wouldwurker
That last Floyd album is extra bits from division Bell. All instrumental...very soothing laid back stuff. Any pink Floyd fan would love it.
Eric.
Well I guess if Gilmore never opens his mouth I could probably enjoy it.
TerryMcK
It's true as a singer David Gilmore makes an awesome guitarist. The last album as Vinny says is mainly instrumental stuff with tracks laid down by Rick Wright before he died.
Shane Jimerfield
I listen to everything but classical and "pop country" music. Zeppelin, Coltrane, Nirvana, George Jones, Willie, Floyd, Dylan, Emmy Lou, Metallica, Beatles, Pearl Jam, Miles Davis, the Police.... the list goes on. If I could only listen to 5 albums the rest of my life..... Love Supreme, Ghost in the Machine, Freewheelin Bob Dylan, Revolver, Master of Puppets. Probably not the most original list but it covers the genres I like. 5 albums? I couldn't do it. That would be way harder to pick than my last meal. wouldwurker
Well I guess if Gilmore never opens his mouth I could probably enjoy it. What???? I'll take Gilmore songs over Waters songs any day. I just read Roger Waters senior thesis. It was entitled, "MY FATHER DIED IN THE WAR"
Eric.
Waters was responsible for the vast majority of Dark Side and The Wall. 'Nuff said.
wouldwurker
But who sang every song on dark side.
