estesbubba
I have all the core power tools and plan to still use them as I do today, but looking to incorporate more hand tools into my workflow. What are some good books and DVD's to learn about all the hand tools and ways to use them?

Arminius
I would heartily recommend the New Traditional Woodworker by Jim Tolpin. Even if you don't want to abandon power tool use at all, using hand tools requires different ways of setting up work. Tolpin's book neatly combines instruction on method with a series of projects that progressively build on tool skills, methods, and some of the useful items you need for using hand tools in a workshop setting.
Coop
Marc's "Hybrid Woodworking" is a great read!

estesbubba
I like the way you think. Already got it! I gave my wife my Christmas list from Lee Valley and she said "Those things are expensive - you'll have like 2 things under the tree. Why don't you just buy those yourself and give me more ideas?" So this is my "more ideas" thread so I don't get a bunch of velour turtle-neck sweaters!
Llama
I thought everyone here already had Marc's book... Speaking of great books, and bad segues, here's another fine book. http://lostartpress.com/collections/books/products/the-essential-woodworker
Tom King
I'm glad this book was reprinted. I haven't seen any of the books mentioned in this thread so far, but this was the first book that really inspired me when I was first starting. http://www.amazon.com/Country-Furniture-Aldren-A-Watson/dp/0393327779

Tony Wilkins
As far as books go, I'd add Toplin's New Traditional Woodworker and Schwarz' The Anarchist's Toolchest. DVD's: I'm a fan of David Charlesworth's series on sharpening and planing. +1 to all mentioned thus far as well. Mel - what Klausz DVD? cjasfenton
I just picked up and watched Schwarz's Hand Plane Basics this weekend. I highly reccomend it. I thought it did a great job of breaking down the job of each plane and explaining how to make it do that job. Certainly explained a lot to this complete novice.
