I don't dislike him either. He could hold a beat OK (not one of the worlds best drummers either) but he couldn't sing. That is good enough IMO for all Ringo vocal recordings to be wiped. Leave the backing tracks.

Mind you some of the lame singing on a Simon Cowell vehicle disguised by autotune is worse than Mr Starkey.

Wow it's becoming clear that I'm on the young side on this forum...which is kind of surprising to me.   I've never heard of most of the responses.   Honestly, I can only think of at most 5 albums where I've actually heard every song, let alone would actually listen to the whole thing in order.  That just seems crazy to me...these threads are fascinating lol.   I've always picked-and-choosed...first it was burning CDs and later via ipod/iphone and now via Pandora.

Not to side track, but have you guys heard those alternate tracks and takes on the Wall re-release?  Comfortably Numb with entirely different lyrics and called "Doctor"?  A terrible Waters song called "Teacher Teacher".  Pretty insane stuff if you haven't heard it yet.

You tube Dream Theater covering Pink Floyd..  It's pretty amazing!

No not heard that Vin. Is there any link on Youtube or somewhere else to get a preview?

The Spotify web browser is free. everything you'd ever want is on there.

It's the Wall 2011 Remaster.

Disc 3 is all the scrapped tracks.

There's also a 'Wish you were here' 2011'remaster with live early versions of Dogs and Sheep from Animals, totally different lyrics and called 'you got to be crazy' and 'raving and drooling'.

One of my embarrassing guilty pleasures is Under the Table and Dreaming. Great album. I also like Parachutes by Coldplay, even though I hate admitting it because of what they turned into later. But Parachutes was a masterpiece.

I'll mail you a copy of the bootleg. You'll like it. No need to hide any longer! Be free!

As a drummer I really appreciate Ringo.  His creativity, groove and musicality on the drums is up there with the best.  I mean that sincerely.  Maybe not the most technically flashy, but he played with soul and that can't be taught.  It is more difficult to hold a groove and keep time when you are playing fewer notes.  I think Don't Let Me Down and While My Guitar Gently Weeps really showcase his feel and restraint.  A Day in the Life is good, too.

Amen, Mike!

The original question was what albums would you listen all the way through without skipping a track. Obviously first hear you would do but on subsequent listens would you still do it?

I can only think of a few.

Add Yessongs to mine and one by Be Bop Deluxe - Live! In the Air Age not the track Life In The Air Age but the whole album including the EP that came with the vinyl version.
