dwacker
I am searching for a router lift for a 3.1" router. I think a loose 3" will work but am coming up blank on the web. Are there no routers with a 3" body? Any info would be appreciated. Thank you
mikem
Take a look at the PRL-V2 from Woodpecker. It uses a system of 3 aluminum pads that hold the router in the lift, and they have various sizes to accommodate different router makes. http://www.woodpeck.com/prlv2.html
Tom Cancelleri
PB, what kind of router is it?

It's a good lift, I've got one in the Kreg variety. Unfortunately they don't make the aluminum insert rings anymore.
mikem
Yeah, there are a bunch of rebadged versions of it out there. I actually have the Incra version as I wanted the magnetic insert rings. The main difference between the true woodpecker and the ones from the different manufacturers is the plate on it. dwacker
PB, what kind of router is it? Its not a router really. Its a 2.2kw 220v water cooled spindle.
wtnhighlander
What sort of Frankenstein project are you building, PB? Some sort of giant CNC tool?
mikem
I bet you could get woodpecker to make some special size pads for the prl-v2, or even have a machine shop mill them for you.
dwacker
What sort of Frankenstein project are you building, PB? Some sort of giant CNC tool? Nope. Just making a router table. I got this figured out. Just needed to go to the hardware store. 3" PVC is a perfect fit and just need a plain old 3.5" lift. Thanks All.
