davewyo
Thanks to inspiration from Marc's video I've been working on router inlays for the last couple of weeks and it has been a learning experience and a lot of fun. I started small with an inlay that only required a couple of pieces (the cat) and then moved on to more involved stuff (the pansy and the rose). https://picasaweb.google.com/davewyo1/Inlays?authuser=0&feat=directlink Dave

davewyo
Thanks gang! Wow ! I am guessing purpleheart and paduck in the third pic? Yep. Purpleheart, Padouk, Redheart, Cherry, Yellowheart, Wenge, and a piece of Rosewood for good measure. ...on a Walnut backgound. I went a little crazy including the new woods I recently got. Next time perhaps a little more restraint. All of those exotics were twice as (janka) hard as anything I've worked with before. That was fun. They came off the scroll saw glass smooth with a 2/0 blade. Incredible! D
