New to woodwork from SoCal

Hello everyone,

When I was a kid/teenager I did a little bit of woodwork with professional woodworkers in the family, but being a stupid teenager my heart and my mind weren't into it. I cut a lot of wood using bow saws and hand saws and planed using some sort of hand plane, but I never got into it. I never learned how to set up the tools, didn't really learn anything about them. As I said, pretty much a self -absorbed teenager.

However, I guess I did contact the woodworking virus. I've had a desire to work with wood for a long time (decades), but life always got in the way. It looks like now I can finally get to it. I'm starting with building an electric guitar from scratch, using mainly hand tools, but I definitely want to work on other projects later on.

So here I am... really excited about it.
