Mudroom Shaker Bench

Here is one of the projects I have been working one. Haven't had much time to post, so here is me unloading the pics on my phone.

It is a combination of two shaker bench designs with many design changes on my part.

Lap joints for the stretcher/seat support. (Walnut)

Seat assembly done. (Cherry)

Back supports and Backrest on.

Still need to do some shaping to the seat support and backrest amongst other things.

Been filling a few knots including a big one on the seat. Decided to incorporate it because I like the grain around

Doing Some final sanding before dry assembly and glue up.

Feel like I did pretty good cutting this wide board down and glueing it back up. The grain will be gorgeous with some finish and sunlight.
