Raefco
I started a build journal for this project early in December and the links to the pics started misfiring so I have uploaded some pics to an old Photobucket account and thought I would try it again. I have a fairly modest finish wood working tool set by the standards of many here, but, I think this little project has progressed nicely, I have dedicated about 3 weekends to it so far and it has be a learning experience to say the least, slightly complicated by the fact that the design is being coaxed from my head as we go along. ..Kev
I remember watching this in your original thread. Nicely done! Super nice detail on the doors!
Tpt life
Looks nice. Any chance of flipping that left drawer face of is that just my neurosis showing through?
Raefco
Thanks, Kev, Well "C" not really because the drawer sides are dovetailed in to the face, no matter though, the wife wants the drawers flush like the doors with a beaded piece of trim around the out side of them so much of the sapwood pattern will be hidden
Tpt life
At which point in the process did she tell you this?
Raefco
About 30 minutes ago, it is a build as you go and I just put it in one pile just before I posted the pic. No big deal, Ill just slide the drawer slide back 3/8" and make a beaded molding for the drawer perimeter
Tpt life
Please don't let my neurosis or your wife's vote dampen the mood. You should be proud of that cabinet!
Raefco
no worries buddy, this is my stress relief, the raefco man cave is my domain and this project is going to turn out awesome. A little sanding, some tung oil and 3 or 4 coats of clear and this thing will look like a million bucks

RichardA
You said this was and is a build as you go! That's how this all started, it came out of someone's head.... Then he drew plans afterward, and we are now buying them.... When will your plans be drawn up? I ask, because, that's a beautiful piece of work! Raefco
Ill draw a set up if someone wants them, we built our house with sketches on 1/4 graph paper only drawing a set of floor plans so we could get a quote from HVAC supplier. Raefco
well, pretty good for me anyway, it has been put in its place and in about 6 weeks, I have not put any shelves in it yet as I don't know what she wants to put in it, I may build a sliding organize, a lazy suzan or a rack for large items, won't know till the work order has been signed
