wouldwurker
Pretty good price for a 2 bearing bit. Sale ends tomorrow http://www.woodpeck.com/whitesideflushtemplate.html
Eric.
Good prices. I'd like them better if they were spiral or shear cut.
wdwerker
They have those as well, bring more money.
wouldwurker
I think it's only disadvantage, no? Spiral and shear all cut cleaner against the grain I think.
Eric.
I know of no other advantage. Unless maybe you're they type who tries to sharpen his own bits. I'm not.
wdwerker
Best thing to do with those bits is keep them clean and I put a little squirt of bearing lube on them. When resin builds up it causes more heat and they get dull faster.
wouldwurker
I hear the oven cleaner thing a lot for cleaning router bits...is that legit?
wdwerker
I use the stuff they sell in a spray bottle for cleaning blades and bits. Oven cleaner can be too harsh. Wear gloves ! I use a stiff plastic bristled brush, toothbrush works too. I just follow the instructions on the bottle.
