Harold117
I have a very tall 1x6 T&G Cypress sided wall that I need to repair. I wondered if there is a jig made for my oscillating saw that would allow me to surgically remove staggered lengths without damaging the neighboring boards and leaving a 45 degree back-miter I can slide the new pieces up to. wdwerker
Have you seen the new Festool osselating saw ? It has a plunge base, but I don't know about the 45 degrees. You could make a guide block to tack in place on the bad part of the board. I like the Imperial blades for my Fein Multimaster .
Tpt life
Are we just talking the end of the old work boards? I would just plan on cleaning the fit with a chisel. The oscillator will get you close but be difficult to finesse. PS, welcome to the forums!
dwacker
Im picturing a flat wall with 1x6 board flat on the wall. I don't know what your repairing but cutting a stepped triangle with the wide part at the bottom would allow the pieces to be slid up. With that said a small trim router with a tilt base and straight bit might just get it done with straight edge as a guide.
Harold117
Thank you very much.It may be a combination of several of your ideas. The siding is only bad in the first 40 or so inches off the ground with nailing purlins at 24 oc or so. Previous repairs are just straight cut and do not look right. Thanx again.
