rodger.
So I bought this ridiculously expensive set of sennheiser wireless headphones (RS-170) and now I need to connect them. For now, I will go directly out of my TV, but later will go out of my pioneer receiver. I have the option of going audio out from the headphone jack (1/8" ring/tip) or using the y adaptor to go directly from RCA analogue out. The wireless transmission is uncompressed audio, through Kleer RF transmission (2.4 Gz). I am assuming that I should go analogue, but thought I would throw it out to the audiophiles on here. Opinions?
Tom Cancelleri
I'd just go with RCA connectors to the mini headphone jack. Since it's stereo only you'll be good to go.
Tpt life
Headphone outs are powered. RCA is magnetic. That typically makes the choice. Magnetic will be cleaner by not attracting and amplifying RF interference. If you need power, 1/8" is the way to go.

Does the 1/8" compress sounds as well?
Tpt life
I am not sure that can be answered without knowing the exact model of sending device and the "mode" offerings selected.
