Spraying poly

I spray general High performance poly all the time. It says you can thin it, but I never have. Comes out smooth and fluid. Make sure you strain your finish through a paint strainer, even if it's a new can. Those little blobs can be frustrating when spraying.

Practise on a piece of hardboard, cardboard, or scrap first to adjust the gun to its optimal setting.

Thanks Pug. Gonna be interesting trying to find out how much finish to use for the needed coverage. The cup is 400cc or .8 pints, which I imagine is more than enough for the cabinet I'm gonna be spraying.

I was quite surprised by how much finish it takes to spray - much more than brushing.

Bubba brings up a good point about the needle size.  I switched out mine too.  Dont remember what size, but I could look it up (I have an Earlex though).
