I just picked up a 14" jet closed base, looks just like the pictures you posted, but it has a single 4" port cast into the bottom wheel compartment. It sucks, and not in a good dust collection kind of way. Yes that straw-sized port came with the saw. The newer version of this saw has the 4" like you have.
