bushwacked
I am looking into getting more than 80 grit for my new oscillating spindle sander. However when I find the sleeves they list certain machines and not just a one size fits all type description. Will a 2" x 4 1/2" sleeve fit any drum on any machine that's listed at that size? krtwood
If the length is right it should work. I have sometimes had to add some tape to the inside of the sleeve or outside of the drum to get it close enough to be able to tighten. wdwerker
If the sleeve is just a tad too tight to fit over the drum put it in the freezer , that will shrink the drum. A little warmth from a hair dryer and tighten the nut makes loose sleeves fit. This just works with close fits not sloppy ones.

Out of all the sanding products I have used, Diablo is one of the most expensive and worst performers

Out of all the sanding products I have used, Diablo is one of the most expensive and worst performers Ya I have never like diablo products. I've used it a couple times and it's complete crap when it comes to sandpaper. Haven't used anything else but can't imagine it getting much better
Tom Cancelleri
I lucked out about 8 years ago and bought all the rigid paper they had left in clearance for a penny a pack. Sadly I lost half of it in a flood. Still have maybe 60 or so sleeves. It's decent paper, I recommend keeping it clean with a gun eraser
JerrySats
A general question , if it were too long could you cut it to the length you needed as long as it fit the sleeve in diameter ?

wdwerker
Belts and sleeves do not age well. As they get old the seams fail. Keep them in heated/air conditioned space. Extreme temps seem to be hard on them.
