how to finish exterior pine cottage (just built 2 months ago & has mold already on the finish i put on)

i live in hawaii and have mold/mildew issues in general... i just had a cabin built of pine t&g 2 months ago...single wall construction... i applied 2-3 coats of clear stain/wood protectant (oil based i believe because it smelled strong and it did not clean up with water)... i made the mistake of throwing away the metal 5 gallon containers that it came in and i don't remember the kind or brand... woops (i think it was a thompson's product but i could be wrong)!  ... now it is already showing mold growing on the outside of the building.... no mold on the inside yet...

i am wondering what to do to get the mold off and what to appy now so that it doesn't return.  i don't know what i can apply over the top of this if i don't even know what i have on now!

Got to the store you bought the finish at and ask them. They have to know about the solution in your climate. When I last painted my house I had them add a little bottle of M -1 mildew preventative to the paint. You probably need to clean the mildew off first before you recoat.

    In Tennessee, I find mildew growing on the North side of everything.  The lack of direct sun, seems to be the culprit, along with high  humidity!
