Brendon_t
Coop, is your camera broken? Where's the pic of this board? He's got pictures of it. Just trying to figure out how to get the Polaroid on the computer.

You're bad but not too far from the truth. And the truth right now is that we just got 4" of rain in an hour and a half. Trying to get the wood off the floor. The be maple came first. That's what flood insurance is for! Friggin rain frogs are climbing the trees.

Trip
Wanted to follow-up... How's the Birdseye working for you? Sounds like it was going OK, but kind of lost the thread...
Coop
The birds eye came thru the planer fantastic. Very little sanding will be required. Hopefully, after getting the shop dried out today, I can start making it into drawer fronts.
Trip
Actually, a little liquid works rather well to retard tearout on Birdseye… Some use water, but I keep a squirt bottle on the shelf behind the jointer for just this sort of challenge… If the knives are getting dull (and I’m in an especially lazy mood because I can change them in less than two minutes), I’ll just squirt something (usually naphtha, alcohol, etc -- what's ever in the bottle -- doesn't really matter what) on the stock before milling… Works wonders… I don't use water -- don't like it around the tools...
