trz
Has anyoneused the mini moisture meter from HF? Is it any good?
Trip
I'm not an expert on products from HF... However, I doubt very much that a $13.99 moisture meter is worth very much for woodworking... maybe house plants?
dwacker
I think your better off getting something a little more middle of the road like the lesser expensive lignomats. They are not the best but are good if you do comparative testing rather than rely on the number on the screen.
trz
Not that I Need a moisture meter, just saw it and thought if it were a decent unit it had to be another tool I could't live without!

wdwerker
Most of the moisture meters come with a chart that you need to use to interpret the results. Different wood species have to be adjusted up or down from what the meter reads . My meter has pins , so the pinless ones may be different . Boatworks Today
Personally i'd save the $14 and put it towards something more useful (new bit, clamp, glue, etc). I use an Electrophysics unit (pinless) and really like it, but it's a bit more than the HF ...
