$76 worth of slabs

So I was rearranging my shop today and cleaning things up. I moved and relocated my slabs and figured I'd snap a picture. I thought about what I paid for these, and I really lucked out on these. The cherry slab is 18 board feet, 8/4 thick 119" long, live edge on both sides, air dried 25 years. The walnut is roughly 40 board feet 12/4 111" long.

Cost:

Walnut - $40 for the slab. Went to an auction and they get to this huge slab of walnut. Only 2 people bid on it. I was the high bidder at 40 bucks.

Cherry - $36, paid $2 a board foot for the lumber, I should've bought more slabs from the guy. Was a good/bad time to buy lumber. Good because the price was right, bad because I had just bought my lathe and a bunch of other tools so funds were really low.
