Tpt life
I can see this looking cool in the right application.
G S Haydon
That's pretty neat C. I don't trust myself to attempt it but the effect is very interesting, a bit like river deltas or blood vessels.
AstroDave
Pretty damn cool...
RichardA
That's really cool, but I don't think it'll work on solid wood, it seems it has to burn only the thin veneer as though it were toilet paper.
Coop
That is just too cool. I'm like Graham, I can just see those marks tattooed up one arm and down a leg or other

Now back to Craigslist to find a microwave power supply....

wtnhighlander
Pretty cool, fractal-ish woodburning! I see no reason that wouldn't work on a thicker board, as the electrons will flow on the dampened surface, anyway. Gives me an idea...the same process could create burned 'drawings', if you draw a picture on the wood with a soft pencil. The graphite 'lead' is conductive, and should direct the arc where you want it to go. If I had a microwave oven transformer lying around, I'd give it a whirl. An electric arc welder might do the trick, too.
Tom Cancelleri
Holy s*#t. For real? Is this a pic of someone you know? Not someone I know. Read a story about it a little over a year ago, and seeing that video reminded me of it.
