Popular Post Eric.
Honduran mahogany, birdseye maple, hard maple. All the mahogany came out of one awesome 8/4 board. Sorry for the lousy fauxtoes...I'm too stoopid to account for shadows and all that.

Eric.
Thanks fellas. It's a nice treat when I finish an original piece and I can't really find anything to complain about. I'm a little bored with myself at the moment but I am happy with them. What did you use for a finish? I bet your first guess is a winner. Those chicken bone drawer pulls are the bees nees! Nice job! That's funny...as I was shaping them, "bony" was exactly the word that came to my mind. Thanks man. The attention to detail is spectacular. Are these for you or a commission? I don't take commissions. Life's too short for all that mess.

bgreenb
Been looking forward to seeing these since you mentioned them. You didn't disappoint. They look awesome. The dovetails are hand cut right? They came out flawless. How did you do the pull joinery? Do the bridle while everything is square and then shape after assembly? What did you use to shape them? What a nice detail they add. Great job.
Eric.
How did you do the pull joinery? Do the bridle while everything is square and then shape after assembly? You got it. Cut out the rough shapes on the bandsaw then refined with rasps. Thanks man!
shaneymack
Wow!! Eric those nightstands are really beautiful. Really elegant design. I would like to know as well how you made those drawer pulls.
ColinF
Those are beautiful, but they'll look better after you paint the drawers a nice dark green, it would go well with your mahogany stained pine
