amanda11984
Hi everyone! My husband and I build tables using mostly reclaimed and sometimes rough cut wood. We're pretty new to this though. I had a customer send me this picture and ask if we have this kind of wood-but she doesn't (and I don't) know what it is. I'm sure someone in the awesome community can help me! Thanks in advance. Eric.
Looks like pine. Construction lumber will yield that look.

Guest
Pine. The same stuff they sell at the box store, Usually labeled "Spruce/Pine/Fir" or "Whitewood". Looks like standard dimension 2x6 or 2x8's to me.

RichardA
I agree, though it could be ash as well!
Immortan D
Looks like slash pine ("Pinus elliottii")
xxdabroxx
One more for pine, the lows in the grain kinda give it away as a softwood.
