Coop
I have a queen Palm that has a trunk height of about 16' that I'm going to take down. Is this true wood and is it worth salvaging?
davewyo
I'm not sure about the quality of the lumber but a quick gargle* purports that it is tough stuff on saw blades. *Trade Mark by Eric, AKA "Tim", AKA "Kiki", AKA "Hunter S".

Coop
Good. I really didn't want to have it milled and have another bunch of boards drying for a year but also didn't want to throw away a gem.
Tpt life
Great logs, bad boards.
phinds
Palms, like bamboo, are members of the grass family, not woods, but for small projects they can be used as wood and as I'm sure you've seen, bamboo is often laminated and use for flooring. RichardA
Palm is not wood, it's salad!
