Excellent work well if we are being completely honest I might have played with them more than my son a couple weeks ago... Tom Cancelleri
Colin, I'm sure you've probably seen this, but I still think it'd be fun to play with all day at my desk. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=assOdzdM5CM

ColinF
Thanks guys, the plans are in wood magazine, they sell the hardware kits to, and I've got first dibs when it goes out to the sandbox the only thing I don't like about them is all the tiny brackets that I can't get to clean up, I always burn them on the sander no matter how easy I try to be with them! Tom, no, I haven't seen that, it's pretty cool, but all those gears exposed like that would bite a finger sooner or later!

ColinF
Thanks guys! Tiods, these guys get there test run pushing the pile of planer shavings out the door. I've got to get the excavator built or the bulldozer is going to cause a ahem... Dust slide!
Janello
Be honest, you know you make engine and hydraulic grunt noises when you are in the sand box with these. Awesome job Colin!
Coop
yep, it all works, I expect pics of yours pretty soon! I just realized that with all of the small parts, these probably require a scroll saw?

ColinF
I just realized that with all of the small parts, these probably require a scroll saw?Na, I've only used the scrollsaw for the inside cuts on the skid loader, other than that it's the bandsaw or tablesaw, and a disc sander makes life real easy. Coop
Na, I've only used the scrollsaw for the inside cuts on the skid loader, other than that it's the bandsaw or tablesaw, and a disc sander makes life real easy. I guess I was trying to find an out, as I don't have a scroll saw. Or maybe I want an excuse to buy one. I guess I need to start a new thread on scroll saws and which ones to buy so as not to hijack this, unless I just did?

Anyhoo, I can't offer advice on scrollsaws, they are probably my least favorite tool.
