Had to figure out how to make the stopped mortises and lay out a jig for the loose tennons I was going to use. This is a very loose dry fit still need to doctor the loose tennons a littleside panel dry fitI milled to 3/4inch used the jig I made earlier to have panel alignment inserts then milled to final thickness.Top unclamped dry fit. Tim Kohl
been busy summer did not get as much shop time as hoped but seeing the light at the end of tunnel. My focus for this project was making something with lots of parts and make it work, panels, better joinery, and DRAWERS (everyone's fear). The project is not quite yet finished. The finish is not rubbed out and drawers only have one coat. Of coarse pulls have not been made. I'm really pleased how everything came out. I used loose tennons wish I used regular Mortise and tennon joinery, my jig was slightly out of square which made things challenging. I cut the box joints by hand, and throw out a thanks to Eric for a comment in one of his many posts about using a rasp and file to finesse the final fit. Well here it is almost finnished
