Peter Brown
I decided to locate power for my bandsaw and table saw in the center of their respective ceiling areas with the idea that a +/- 4 - 5 ft arm on a center pivot would allow this cord to be kept out of the way and allow mobility for the tool. A bigger issue for the bandsaw than the table saw. I can't find something ready made but feel it must exist somewhere. Any ideas?
Dave H
I bought one of the retractable 12/3 cords from Rockler and put a new ends on it for my 220v table saw and a couple more I did nothing to for 110v machines. http://www.rockler.com/12-gauge-retractable-extension-cord-reel

Brendon_t
I also have a 12/3 single plug reel ceiling mounted that can be grabbed with one step from my band saw, air compressor, and work bench. I don't really see the need for a boom arm.
Peter Brown
My solution. Square aluminum tubing attached with long lag bolt to 5" thick block with larger washers. Works great, now I have 8+ft radius of mobility for my bandsaw.
shaneymack
Nice job. Would be a good replacement for a festool boom arm as well.
